David Haye
In honour of his heavyweight title bout against that ruddy big Russian we took a look at the web-doings of the great hope for Britain and boxing’s heavyweight division. ...by Matt

For those who don’t know
His own website tells the tale of the rise of David Haye, and boy does he like a legend: “David Deron Haye entered the world with a black eye and a clenched fist. He’d later be known as ‘The Hayemaker’.” Despite being pretty well designed and having a nicely though-out fight history section, linking to a page per fight, the site doesn’t seem to have been updated since last year. But check it for some background: dhaye.com/About/Default.aspx

Buy the t-shirt
His Haymaker Productions site seems to be where the up-to-date action is now and where you can get your branded t-shirt and hoodies in a slightly disappointing shop section. However, the profile section has been updated from his own site for all the Haymaker stable of boxers and looks all new and flashy, even featuring an Apple rip-off carousel. Good fact files though, with each boxer specifying favourite fight and knock-out! hayemaker.com/boxers/boxerlist.aspx

Horse’s mouth
Hear what Haye has to say for himself in the build-up to the big fight against the very big man, Nikolai Valuev by reading the blog he’s been doing for the Sun. It basically reiterates that he is going to punch him hard in the head: thesun.co.uk/…/Read-David-Hayes-exclusive-fight-blog.html

Predictions
If you’re looking for someone to predict the result of this ding-dong, you can’t go far wrong in looking at what the world’s best trainer (of Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan) has to say. He has an uncanny knack for being spot-on: telegraph.co.uk/…/David-Haye-will-flatten-Nikolai-Valuev-says-Freddie-Roach.html
