WebGun - taking aim at the best of the internet

"Reviewing the best and worst of the things we find at the cutting edge of the web"

Here's a photo and some info 'about us'

WebGun Chris and Matt

Chris Maslin

Chris (above left) met Matt when they were both working as trainee web user-experience designers in London at the end of 2008. Oddly they never actually worked together.

He's more of the visual guy, with an eye for a good image and likes his 'breathing space' at the top of any website.

When not designing up a storm, he'll most likely be found trying to stave off insomnia by playing some computer game until the early hours. Matt doesn't get it.

See his work at chrismaslindesign.co.uk.

Matt Isherwood

Realising they shared a sense of humour and a love of talking rubbish, Matt (above right) figured a podcast to share their web recommendations was a logical step.

He tends to be more interested in the big idea behind a website and having a solid 'structural concept'. Whatever that is.

When not building the web, he's probably on holiday/booking a holiday or attempting to be witty on Twitter (Chris doesn't get it).

To see what he's working on at the mo, mattish.com has updates.

The podcast

The WebGun podcast is their fortnightly review of the best things they have discovered on the world wide web.

They review websites half from the point of view of user experience designers and half from the point of view of two guys in their twenties who are lazy and expect stuff to work. In addition they can be heard bantering about the latest funnies to hit their inbox by applying the simply equation: does it make them actually laugh out loud (or is it a Real LOL)?

They also like to invite guests to bring along websites to chat with them.
